Our Services

Screening and Assessment

Agno recommends a simple 4-question digital survey to quickly diagnose anxiety and depression for any patient. Following a warm handoff by the medical provider, Agno’s Care Team follows up with deeper assessments (e.g. PHQ9, GAD7, WHODAS…) to design a tailored treatment plan, and measure progress frequently.

Evidence-based Treatment

Agno’s highly trained Behavioral Health Specialists conduct brief weekly interventions (phone, text, or video call) to motivate and build coping skills and manage any necessary medications with the counsel of board-certified Psychiatric Consultants. Over 2-9 months most patients show significant reduction in mental health symptoms.

Psychosocial Welfare Resources

Since anxiety and depression are often situational, Agno Care Navigators support patients with local resources to further help them solve their problems, including jobs, housing, social services, insurance, or other specialty referrals.

A Few Case Examples…

  • 27-year old autistic male came to urgent care center for a panic attack, screening showed moderate-severe depression and anxiety. Began weekly 30min coaching sessions with Agno Behavioral Health Specialist, with a goal to learn coping skills for his phobia and gain comfort going out in crowds. After 4 months of relaxation and mood control skill building, as well as starting a low-dose, anxiety-targeted antidepressant, his mental health scores have come down to a healthy level, and he has moved to bi-weekly “relapse prevention” sessions before discharge.

  • 15-year old anxious female came to urgent care center after being bullied at school and having suicidal thoughts. Screening showed moderate depression and anxiety. Began weekly 30min coaching sessions over the summer break, with a goal to better manage school and social pressures, without need for medications. After 3 months of cognitive behavioral therapy and relaxation techniques, her mental health scores have come down to mild levels and patient believes her new coping skills will help her manage through the new school year. She knows Agno is there for her if her mental health becomes unmanageable again.

  • 28-year old grieving female came to clinic for a thyroid problem, but screening showed very severe depression and insomnia due to relationship challenges. She was already on psychiatric medications but they were not sufficient, so she began weekly 30min coaching sessions with Agno Behavioral Health Specialist, to build coping skills. After 5 months of work on behavioral activation, negative thought stopping, and other depression management tools, she has been able to reduce her medications and sleep through the night. Agno is ready to restart skill-building and/or adjust medications if symptoms flare up again.

  • 36-year old bi-polar male with a history of substance abuse and OCD, urgent care screening showed moderate anxiety and depression and unstable behavior with no access to psychiatric help. Agno Psych Consultant worked with his PCP to begin appropriate medications, and Agno Behavioral Health Specialist worked with him on motivation, cognitive restructuring, problem solving therapy as well as relaxation techniques. After 5 months, patient is able to reduce medications while maintaining only mild mental health symptoms, start a new job, and prefers to continue weekly coaching sessions to reinforce mood management skills.

  • 27 year old single male presented to urgent care clinic accompanied by his mother who was concerned about his health and well being after she found him to be tearful and unable to go to work. Upon evaluation, he endorsed death wishes and poor sleep for the last three days. The medical practitioner alerted the Agno Health team and a BH specialist contacted the patient via a video call to assess him and develop a safety and treatment plan together. Patient was immediately enrolled in the Agno Health patient panel with follow-up planned for the next day and weekly thereafter for further support and stabilization as needed, with consultation provided by a comprehensive psychiatric team.

  • 70 year old single female presented to primary care clinic asking for mental health support which she hadn’t been able to find in her area due to long waiting lists for the past year. Upon evaluation by an Agno Health BH Specialist, patient endorsed symptoms consistent with depression and anxiety, with a history of Substance Use Disorder, abstinent for past two years. She had been prescribed antidepressants by her with some improvement in tearfulness and sleep, but PCP was concerned about patient’s risk of substance use relapse, so enrolled her in the Agno Health patient panel to collaborate on ongoing support and weekly therapy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and monthly psychiatric consults.
